Rooftops of Sunderland to a
Regional Name in Roofing
Windsor Roofing was founded by John Rowntree, a hands-on
tradesman with a deep passion for traditional roofing
techniques and modern workmanship. John started as an
apprentice working with slate, gradually expanding his
expertise across all aspects of roofing – from new
installations to complex repairs and repointing.
After years of learning the trade and gaining experience on
countless projects across the North East, John established
Windsor Roofing to bring a people-first, quality-led approach
to local roofing. What began as a small venture has grown
into a trusted name recognised for transparency, speed, and
a friendly face.
Despite market changes and the challenges of recent years,
our commitment to honest service and exceptional results
remains unchanged. Every project we take on is handled with
care – from first call to final tile.
